Biography
Athena Morgan is a highly skilled legal tech consultant at Njaga & Co Advocates. With a wealth of experience in data protection, child privacy on the internet, human rights law, and IT policy, Athena is a leading expert in her field. Her expertise includes drafting data policies and protecting copyrights, advising clients on the latest data regulations and policies. Athena holds a law degree (LL. B 2nd Class Uppers Hons) from the University of Nairobi. She has completed additional training in legal technology, including numerous certifications in cybersecurity, child online protection, and internet governance. She has received numerous accolades for her work, including recognition from industry organizations.
Athena is experienced in human rights law, IT policy, and community development. She strongly believes that technology with a stable policy can be used for the advancement of human rights and community development. A champion for the rights of persons with disabilities and the poor and marginalized members of the country, Athena is skilled in negotiation, drafting, grant and proposal writing, and building partnerships. She is currently the regional project manager for Africa at the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC). Athena has previously consulted for Digispace Safety Ltech and the African Advanced Level Telecommunications Institute.
